Kyle Whalum is a professional musician living in Nashville, TN. He is also a new father, ultrarunner teaches music at David Lipscomb University and works at Fleet Feet Sports, where he leads a running group called Green Hills Run Club. Kyle got into running as an overweight musician. After breaking his ankle at the age of 24, he realized that he had taken his mobility for granted his entire life and decided to make a change. After his ankle was rehabilitated, he began running short distances, and slowly worked his way up to racing ultra marathons.  Kyle currently balances being a new father, touring musician, and ultrarunner, and credits his wife with making this all possible.
